The following is a summary of the membership grades in the Florida Section and their qualifications:
Section Member If you are an INTERNATIONAL member of any grade (Student, Associate, Member, Fellow, and Honorary)
of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), you can become a Section Member of the Florida Section
upon filing the attached application and paying the appropriate fees.

Local Section Affiliates You can join the Florida Section as a Section Affiliate, if you meet the requirements in any one of the
following classifications:
Technical Affiliate
Individuals in the transportation profession who lack sufficient experience for International Membership in ITE or who are in the process of applying for such membership;
Persons engaged in sub-professional transportation engineering work;
Professionals in related fields who, by virtue of status or official position, contribute to the work of transportation engineers and who are members of another professional society or organization.
Student Affiliate
Engineering students registered in a recognized engineering school;
Commercial Affiliate
Persons engaged in commerce or industry who come into frequent contact with transportation engineers, and thus, have an interest in the profession and are in a position to work with or assist transportation engineers.
Application Procedures
Follow the procedures below for the respective grade for which you are applying.
For membership as a Section Member:
International ITE bills you for Florida Section dues, and you should be
receiving FLITE Magazine from the Florida Section. If you need to check your
Florida Section member status, contact the
Treasurer/Membership Chair:

For membership as a Local Section Affiliate (Student):
Complete the first two sections of the
membership application.
Have your student chapter adviser sign the application under your signature.
Forward the completed application to:

Your application will be reviewed and presented, if acceptable, to the FSITE Executive Board for approval. You will be notified of the Board's action.
For membership a Local Section Affiliate (Technical or Commercial):
Complete the entire
membership application, making sure that you describe the duties of your current position in a concise statement indicating your areas of work, degree of responsibility, and the number of people under your supervision.
After completing your application, please identify your appropriate entrance fee and dues from the schedule below.
Forward the completed application along with a check (no cash) in the appropriate amount made payable to the Florida Section Institute of Transportation Engineers or FSITE to:
